Time bound lie’s

In any relationship we tend to lie. It might be in the form of “Timely truth” as in, wait till you think the time is right to speak the truth or “Selective truth” as in leaving out a part of the whole truth.

These lies might not look harmful and surely might not be either – in minor cases, but they do tend to lead people to misunderstanding. From the past experience, I surely can say that does make it difficult for the trust to persist once the truth comes to light; irrespective of it being small or big. We do tend to question ourselves at least on weather the truth was spoken by the person or not.

It is these small incidences that MIGHT lead to a big crack to fill in. Is it really worth it? shouldn’t there be enough transparency in a relationship that one shouldn’t feel the need to hold back? and if you ARE holding back, does that not mean that the relationship is not as strong as it should be?

These are just few questions that pop up in my head when I see couples selectively telling the facts or in my own case after having faced similar situation more than once, It did effect my thought process and raised many doubts in my head about weather it was the whole fact that was shared or was there a part left for later?

Do share your thoughts/opinion on the matter and don’t forget to hit that like button if you relate or have faced similar situations.

  1. I think that it all depends on what type of relationship a person has. My boyfriend has always been truthful with me, mostly because he has no reason not to be. I’m not a helicopter girlfriend and he has never giving me an inkling of why I should distrust him or wonder if he’s telling me the whole truth. I think that even little white lies that may not seem to matter could damage the relationship later on. Now, I’m not trying to say that I have the perfect relationship, because no relationship is perfect but I really think that truth and communication are important foundations in any relationship!
